  1. Are you curious about how old Vancouver Island is?
  2. Do you like to hunt for agates, jasper, marble and crystals on Vancouver Island?
  3. Are you interested in meeting people who are skilled in lapidary?
  4. Do you want to learn how to make your own jewelry?
  5. Are you new to the area but knowledgeable about any aspect of geology and lapidary? Are you willing to share your knowledge and experience?

If the answer is “YES” to any of the above, joining the Parksville and District Rock and Gem Club might be just right for you!!

There has been a Club in the Parksville and District area since the early 1970’s. Currently we have over 40 members who have a wide variety of interest and expertise in rockhounding.

As a member of our Club you also become a member of the British Columbia Lapidary Society (BCLS) and the Gem and Mineral Federation of Canada (GMFC). This means you are welcome to join in activities of other clubs.

Meetings are held monthly on the first Tuesday of the month. In addition to meetings we also take field trips, and hold workshops.
